Premium American Quality:
David Shepherd meticulously hand builds each pickup one at a time using custom USA sourced parts and materials to ensure the highest quality standards and procedures are met throughout the entire build process. We also laser cut all of the vintage fiberboard bobbin material in house to meet our high quality standards and specifications.
Details That Matter:
The middle pickups are RWRP (Reverse Wound Reverse Polarity) so that you can achieve hum-canceling in positions 2 and 4 of a 5-way switch. This is a modern advantage that comes standard with all of our single coils. Also, unlike vintage strat pickups, the magnet stagger is refined and calibrated to offer a more perfect balance in output from one string to the next.
Notes About Magnet Stagger:
The polepiece/magnets are fixed in height and cannot be adjusted. Choose Right Handed for a right handed magnet stagger and choose Left Handed for a left handed magnet stagger. Each magnet is set to a specific height in order to respond evenly in output from one string to the next when using standard electric guitar strings with a plain unwound 3rd string.
