Expressive Strat Tone With Big Sustain

Known for their fat and clear chimey tones with lots of sustain when pushed, 1963 was a pinnacle year for the Strat, with more windings than the earlier years, offering a stronger output and fuller Strat tone. Some like to say they were "juicier" than the other years which made them very sought after by players and collectors worldwide.

The Brickhouse 1963 Strat pickups beautifully recreates those iconic vintage Strat tones that defined an era of big Stratocaster sounds we all cherish and love. Rather than just copying a random vintage spec, we focused more on refining string and output balance from one pickup to the next, and devoting much more attention to bringing out the articulation and touch sensitivity heard on the best examples made in 1963.

From clean to fuzz, these pickups will always shine bold and clear through the mix. Unlock your true sonic potential with the Brickhouse 1963 Strat pickups and experience the massive vintage Strat tone you've been searching for.

-Cast Alnico 5 Magnets (Refined Vintage Stagger)
-Fiberboard Bobbin Material (Precision Cut To Spec In House)
-Vintage Correct Heavy Formvar Coil Wire
-Vintage Cloth Covered Push Back Leads
-Lightly Potted Like The Originals
-Neck/Middle: 6.3k (Average)
-Bridge: 6.5k (Average)
-Made In USA

Details That Matter:
The middle pickups are RWRP (Reverse Wound Reverse Polarity) so that you can achieve hum-canceling in positions 2 and 4 of a 5-way switch. This is a modern advantage that comes standard with all of our single coils. Also, unlike vintage strat pickups, the magnet stagger is refined and calibrated to offer a more perfect balance in output from one string to the next.

Notes About Magnet Stagger:
The polepiece/magnets are fixed in height and cannot be adjusted. Choose Right Handed for a right handed magnet stagger and choose Left Handed for a left handed magnet stagger. Each magnet is set to a specific height in order to respond evenly in output from one string to the next when using standard electric guitar strings with a plain unwound 3rd string.

David's pickups beat them all!

I have played a LOT of Strat pickups, some old, some new, many of the boutique guys that are universally lauded and quite a few of the small guys hungry for success. David's pickups beat them all.

The 63 Strat set is an absolute masterpiece- a neck pickup that combines all the great historical Strat "sounds in your head" and somehow transcends them all, a bridge with all the infinite crystal clear treble in the world that melts into a classic overwound sound with a little tone rolled off. But the kicker, the absolute winner of this set is the hardest thing of all to master- a magic middle pickup that just SINGS and creates the most beautiful in-between tones.

This isn't hyperbole; David's pickups really are THAT good, and given his exponentially positive personal impact on the industry at large, he's a guy I'd love to support even if the pickups were JUST good. But they aren't just good; they are the most inspiring Strat pickups I've ever played.
