I just recently acquired the BH90 pickup, and let me tell you, they’re doing it right over there. I’ve been on a bit of a search looking for the right p90 pup; went through a few of the big brands and even some more off the beaten path, but nothing compares to the clarity, harmonic content and ACTUAL P90 TONES of the Brickhouse. My search is over.

I ordered these from Dave and they were shipped the next day! Got them in my USA PRS and used that guitar on a number of recordings from a project I was hired to do… They really have a snarly attitude P-90 thing and they’re highly dynamic and clean up nicely when turned down….

I contacted David about making me a custom replacement noiseless HB 90 for the stock (single-coil) neck HB 90 in my Sublime Tomcat Deluxe and he graciously agreed to do it. I sent a picture of the stock pickup and he was able to perfectly match the original look.
And for the sound, Oh.My.Word! Clear, punchy, loud, responsive and absolutely no noise! It sounds great on its own and blended with the Porter HB in the bridge. Even though it was a custom order, he delivered very quickly and kept me updated with its progress throughout the build process.
If you need a HB-sized P90, this should be your first and last stop. If you want something different than another vintage PAF, give these a spin.
When I ordered the Shep 90 humbucker sized hum-canceling pickup set, I knew I wanted something different. These are perfect. All the punch, growl, and bite of a regular P90, but No hum! Customer service was amazing. I needed the pickups aged, going in a 40 yr old guitar and the new covers just would look right. Contacted the company and David replied promptly with, yes, I can age them, no problem. When they arrived, I had a question about them, David promptly responded! Great sounding, thanks!!!
These pickups are the best! I put a Shep 60 PAF into the bridge of one of my Charvels as well as a Shep 90 Hum in the neck position. Man these things have so much harmonic content and really sing when you play through them. Sounds like butter. Love them!
