Donnie Scearce

Donnie’s story is born out of happenstance and necessity. After winning a regional battle of the bands in the early 80s, Donnie was able to start playing music for a living. Playing venues all over the U.S. with different incarnations of his musical leanings, he honed his guitar chops.

These projects helped forge his engineering and record making chops. His road took him on world tours with the likes of Hootie and the Blowfish to now working with Corey Smith.

In 2018 he started Sugar Guitars. The Sugar guitar was born out of his want for a custom guitar design that was classic in its appearance but full of modern appointments. Sugar guitars are found in the hands of top touring guitarist all over.

As of late Donnie has embarked on the Dolby Atmos mixing journey producing records for some of the biggest names in the industry.
